Limited Three Year Pneumatic Nailer, Lithium Ion Tool, Battery and Charger Warranty

All Makita lithium ion products, lithium ion batteries and lithium ion battery chargers are warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a period of THREE YEARS from the date of original purchase. Exclusions are, but not limited to, flashlights, work lights, job site radios, speakers, jackets/vests, power source adapters and battery adapters. Products excluded have a ONE YEAR warranty.

All Makita pneumatic nailers and staplers are warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a period of THREE YEARS from the date of original purchase. Any accessories included with pneumatic nailing/stapling products have a ONE YEAR warranty.

Limited One Year General Product Warranty

All Makita tools purchased in Canada from authorized dealers are warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of original purchase.

Limited Two Year Outdoor Power Equipment Warranty

All Makita gas powered outdoor power equipment (OPE) is warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a period of TWO YEARS from the date of original purchase. This warranty includes Makita gas powered OPE products (excludes gas powered air compressors) used in consumer, commercial or rental applications. Accessories included with OPE products have a ONE YEAR warranty. These accessories include but are not limited to; chainsaw chain, chainsaw bars, trimmer heads, brush cutter blades, handles, harnesses, hoses, connectors, filters, bags, tool kits, adjustment/maintenance tools.

Makita Warranty Terms, Limitations and Exclusions

Should any problem develop during the specified warranty period shown above, return the complete product (freight prepaid) to one of Makita’s Factory or Authorized Service Centres in Canada. If a qualified inspection shows the problem is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita may choose to repair and/or replace the product in question.

This warranty does not apply where:

• Repairs to the product have been made or attempted by others.
• Repairs to the product are required because of normal wear and tear.
• Regarding pneumatic nailers/staplers the following wear items will be covered under the Limited One Year General Warranty: piston/driver assemblies, piston cushions/stoppers, driver blades, rubber O-rings, seals and air filters.
• The product has been abused, misused or improperly maintained.
• Alterations have been made to the product.
• Regarding lithium ion products and chargers; the use of non-Makita brand batteries will void all warranties for these products.

In no event shall Makita be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages from the sale or use of the product. This disclaimer applies both during and after the term of this warranty. Makita disclaims liability for any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a specific purpose, after the applicable term of this warranty.

This warranty provides for specific legal rights. The provisions contained in this warranty are not intended to limit, modify or take away from, disclaim or exclude any warranties set forth in any legislation. To the extent required by law, the provisions in any provincial or federal legislation with respect to warranties take precedence over the provisions of this warranty.
