Double Insulation Protection

Every Makita power tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory. Warranties regarding defects from workmanship and materials vary depending on the product and/or product series.
All Makita tools are warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a period of
ONE YEAR
from the date of original purchase. All Makita gas powered outdoor power equipment (OPE) is warranted
to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a period of
TWO YEARS
from the date of original purchase. This warranty includes Makita gas powered OPE products used in consumer, commercial or rental
applications. Any accessories included with OPE products have a ONE YEAR warranty. These accessories include but are not limited to chainsaw chain, chainsaw bars, trimmer heads, brush cutter blades, handles,
harnesses, hoses, connectors, filters, bags, tool kits, adjustment/maintenance tools. All Makita cordless tools powered by lithium ion batteries are warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a
period of
THREE YEARS
from the date of original purchase. Some accessories included with lithium ion products have a ONE YEAR warranty. These accessories are batteries, battery chargers, flashlights and job site
radios. Should any problem develop during the specified warranty period shown in part one or part two above, return the complete product (freight prepaid) to one of Makita’s Factory or Authorized Service Centres in
Canada. If a qualified inspection shows the problem is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita may choose to repair and/or replace the product in question. This warranty does not apply where: Repairs to
the product have been made or attempted by others, repairs to the product are required because of normal wear and tear, the product has been abused, misused or improperly maintained or alterations have been made
to the product. In no event shall Makita be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages from the sale or use of the product. This disclaimer applies both during and after the term of this warranty. Makita
disclaims liability for any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a specific purpose, after the applicable term of this warranty. This warranty provides for specific legal rights.

CSA, ETL & ULC Certification
Makita branded AC & DC (30V & Higher) power tools sold in Canada by Makita Canada
Incorporated will bear either a ULC, ETL or CSA designation. These designations indicate
that the products are listed by the applicable testing laboratories and comply with their
standards of safety. All A/C tools listed in this catalogue are CSA, ETL and or ULC certified.
Extension Cord Chart
When using an extension cord with any Makita power tool or battery charger, ensure that it is
suitably rated for use with the applicable tool or charger. Using an unsuitable extension cord
may result in a loss of voltage/power or overheating and may subsequently damage the tool
or charger. See the chart below which will outline the appropriate extension cord gauge and
length to use with tools or chargers. If you have questions regarding the use of extension
