Job Summary:  

The Warehouse Manger is responsible for providing leadership and support of growth and development to Warehouse Supervisors and Material Handlers.  The Warehouse Manager will  provide input, develop, and execute action plans to support the achievement of business goals and strategy.  As well, the Warehouse Manager has oversight for the completion of all warehouse activities, ensure efficient and accurate processes, and maximize warehouse productivity.

This position will be physically working at Makita Canada’s Head Office in Whitby, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, lead and develop warehouse staff.
  • Assess staff activities and provide regular performance-related feedback.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews with the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Track productivity daily to meet and exceed the budget targets.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for warehouse operations.
  • Oversee inbound container schedule, plan their receiving, and allocate workforce accordingly.
  • Schedule weekly manpower requirements based on projected volumes.
  • Arrange the warehouse to optimize space and improve efficiencies.
  • Organize cycle counts to ensure physical inventory matches the system inventory data and adjust, if needed.
  • Organize the warehouse for inventory and lead the inventory process.
  • Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by ensuring regulatory and company standard and practices are adhered to.
  • Handle major incidents that cannot be resolved by Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the other departments, such as Customer Service, IT, Inventory, Logistics and Purchasing, to meet company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or relevant field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of Supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse.

  • Forklift certification.

Job Summary: 

The Sales Representatives work together with the Makita Canada Inc. team to support the company’s business plan, mainly assisting the sales team to achieve their sales objectives. The sales representatives are responsible for a specific territory and special accounts within the same area, which includes visiting customers to establish and/or maintain business relationships.

The sales representatives will work with all departments throughout Makita Canada Inc. to assist in a smooth transition for the customer ensuring they are satisfied to the best of Makita’s ability. 

This position mainly operates within Nova Scotia, however it is also responsible for Newfoundland and Labrador.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with current customers and build relationships with new customers. 
  • Coordinate activities to add value to the customers within the territory to ensure they are receiving superior levels of service.
  • Assist with overall sales growth for Makita Canada:
  • Ensuring their sales targets are met or surpassed.
  • Assist with growth in specific and targeted products and categories 
  • Establishment and maintenance formalized programs.

Job Summary:  

As a Technician, in our Factory Service Centre, you are key to our after-sales service.

You are responsible for assisting customers with repairs of our products/equipment, including electric (both AC & DC), pneumatic and gasoline-powered tools, supporting the sale of accessories, and parts, as well as answering general product questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service to our clients/dealers and the public.
  • Visually inspecting and testing products/equipment.
  • Dismantling products/equipment, troubleshooting and repairing within Makita Canada Inc. standards.
  • Notify customers, via phone and email, of repair estimate, completed repairs and orders ready for pick up.
  • Ensures the appropriate service levels are maintained in the Factory Service Centre’s.
  • Maintaining inventory of parts and accessories.

Qualifications:

You will be Makita Canada’s “Product Specialist” in our Cleaning Solutions Category.
