Job Summary: 

In this role you will oversee various teams including warehouse, inventory, customer service, facility management and supply chain among others. Through teamwork and collaboration, this role will ensure the achievement of all targets including; safety standards, quality standards, department budget, productivity levels, and customer service levels.

Job Summary: 

The Accounts Receivable Representative supports the Finance & Accounting Department by processing and recording payment transactions, order releases, telephone collections, and reconciliation of customer deductions.  Other duties include applicable follow up, preparing reports, fact checking of credit information, filing, and communication (phone and email) with customers and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of daily deposits and application of payments to customer accounts.
  • Review and release orders on “credit hold”
  • Contact (phone and email) delinquent debtors to collect overdue balances.

  • Reconcile customer accounts.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist will support the promotion of Makita products and services using digital marketing channels and methods including website, social media, email marketing, mobile marketing, SEO/SEM, and content marketing including blogs, infographics, and videos. This individual will create, launch, and support our digital marketing initiatives, and collaborate with internal partners to deliver our digital marketing objectives. This position is based in Makita Canada’s Head Office in Whitby, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in creating our multichannel digital marketing strategy and drive its execution.
  • Plan, implement and manage all digital marketing campaigns from start to finish.
  • Develop and implement email marketing campaigns to end-users and dealers frequently.
  • Create infographics, images, videos and marketing content for social media, search, and other digital marketing campaigns using Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Manage and maintain Makita Canada’s search and social media accounts (e.g., Google, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook) and marketing automation tools.
  • Monitor customer reviews and social media posts across all platforms, engage with end-users, and liaise internally to respond to questions in a professional and timely manner.

Job Summary:  

Reporting to the Product Manager, the National Product Trainer is responsible for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of product training programs for Makita Canada employees, channel partners and end-users. The individual will also oversee the implementation and maintenance of product certifications and regulatory compliance, in coordination with internal teams and legal counsel. The Product Trainer will work on projects and initiatives, as needed, to support the marketing team’s core objectives. This position is based in Makita Canada’s Head Office in Whitby, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging product training programs, industry-specific content and learning experiences through online and in-person training sessions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, internal partners, and sales to organize and deliver virtual and in-person training events for employees, channel partners and customers.
  • Maintain training materials ensuring they are up to date with new products and reflecting competitive differentiators, benefits, and value to customers.
  • Create “how-to” videos and infographics including writing scripts, recording videos, and performing video editing.
  • Become an expert in the Makita product portfolio, markets, and competition.
  • Support preparation and execution of trade shows, road shows and customer events.
  • Collaborate internally and with service providers (e.g., legal, certification agencies) to complete product tests and certification on time and to relevant standards (e.g., CSA).
  • Monitor and communicate changes to compliance and testing requirements and maintain documentation and tracking for product tests and listing requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or three (3) year post-secondary diploma
  • 2-3 years experience in industrial product training, marketing, or related experience.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English (Bilingual is an asset)
  • Superior relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and planning skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required (virtual collaboration/training tools is an asset).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud is welcomed.
