  • Effectively coordinate relevant sales and sales promotions throughout the assigned sales territory and provide fast and efficient account service and give feedback covering all aspects of our business, all with the goal of meeting and exceeding predetermined sales goals and objectives for your territory.

 

Your skills include:

  • The ability to provide superior verbal communication (in person or over the telephone) and in writing (emails, texts, reports) to customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • The ability to achieve results in developing new account business throughout the territory with a demonstrated record of success based on an expanding customer roster.
  • The ability to be relied upon to meet deadlines, complete reports and other documents as required and generally ensure that the necessary administrative needs of the territory are attended to.
  • Self-motivated and confident personality that helps you achieve your sales objectives with minimum supervision.

 

Your experience includes:

Overnight travel will be required.

• Adding new tools and accessories to the home page
• Uploading and posting web banners created by the graphics team
• Create flipping books updating our online catalogues
• Continuously monitor for function problems example: missing French text, photos, logos, etc.
• Managing YouTube videos and 360-degree photos from a reservoir
• Working with Google Maps linking service centre locations
• Manage/maintain Online Retailers – “Where To Buy”, online stores

Control/improve/problem-solve and expand abilities on many internal websites such as:

Job Title : Inventory Control Coordinator

We are currently looking for an experienced Inventory Control Coordinator who is detail-oriented, exceptionally organized, able to manage complex systems, and who has excellent communication, math and analytical skills.

This position is based out of Makita Canada’s Head Office in Whitby, ON and reports to the Purchasing and Inventory Manager.

As a member of the team you will assist with the following:

  • Set up and coordinate daily and monthly cycle counts
  • Run reports to measure accuracy and highlight discrepancies
  • Lead annual physical inventory counts and reporting results
  • Investigate discrepancies to determine root cause and recommend corrective action
  • Approve and enter data for all inventory adjustments at all locations
  • Assist warehouse employees with troubleshooting
  • Provide insight to inventory issues and identify opportunities for process development
  • Maintain assembly bill of materials, prepare work instructions and communicate to the warehouse repack departments; monitor and prioritize
  • Enter the warehouse for the physical review of a SKU
  • Prepare spreadsheets and analyze information to assist Purchasing Manager with inventory requirement forecasting
  • Monitor back ordered items and communicate with Purchasing and Customer Service
  • Receiving of all inventory items into the computer system
  • Other duties as required within the Purchasing and Inventory Department

 Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education and/or a combination of relevant experience and education
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Access)
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Accurate data entry skills

Job Title : Product Management Assistant

Makita Canada Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for an entry level Product Management Assistant position.  Reporting directly to the Product Manager, the Product Management Assistant is responsible for assisting with product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. This will include assisting with market research and data compilation, gathering and defining end user requirements as related to new product development, and working cross-functionally with R&D, sales, operations, marketing, purchasing and customer service to ensure company goals are achieved. 

This position is based out of Makita Canada’s Head Office in Whitby, ON, Canada.

The Product Management Assistant will be expected to:

  • Assist with market research and competitive product testing
  • Compile and analyze market data
  • Support sales by assisting with a variety of tasks such as product training, sales presentations, product line reviews, trade shows, communications materials, etc.
  • Visit and work with end users to gather market information and conduct product testing
  • Help to launch new products and sales programs to sales team
  • Provide support across the entire Makita product range, including power tools (electric/cordless), outdoor power equipment, cleaning solutions, dust extraction and accessories
  • Manage online social media accounts (e.g. Instagram), including daily postings, product photos (creation, participation, etc.), contests and follower interaction
  • Upload and maintain website information on new and existing product lines
  • Utilize online translation service to translate materials from English to French
  • Prioritize between projects on various topics
  • Understand market trends and competitive landscapes 
  • Act independently without constant supervision
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Experience and knowledge:

  1. Basic knowledge of power tools or construction/building trades and sales or marketing
  2. Post-secondary (university or college) degree (marketing, business or building trades preferred)
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Photoshop                 
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication and personal presentation skills
  5. Must be able and willing to travel domestically and/or internationally if required
