Job Summary: 

The Accounts Receivable Representative supports the Finance & Accounting Department by processing and recording payment transactions, order releases, telephone collections, and reconciliation of customer deductions.  Other duties include applicable follow up, preparing reports, fact checking of credit information, filing, and communication (phone and email) with customers and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of daily deposits and application of payments to customer accounts.
  • Review and release orders on “credit hold”
  • Contact (phone and email) delinquent debtors to collect overdue balances.
  • Investigate and resolve any short payments, deductions, irregularities, or enquiries. 
  • Reconcile customer accounts.
  • Provide customers with requested information (ex. statements, invoice copies, assistance with inquiries related to account).
  • Review completed credit applications, research trade and bank references and credit reports.
  • Work with other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and/or resolving issues if needed. 
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
  • Familiar with information contained on credit reports (Dun and Bradstreet/Equifax)
  • Experience dealing with national retail customers would be an asset.
  • Superior computer skills: MS-Office, AS400, data entry.
  • Analytical: identify a problem or issue, gather information, develop a solution.
  • Critical thinking: analyze and evaluate facts to form a judgement.  Ability to be alerted to any potential warning signs that could impact the collection of a debt.
  • Mathematical: high working knowledge and ability to accurately perform mathematical tasks.
  • Customer Service: ability to deal with customers in a professional manner to collect balances and assist when needed. 
  • Interpersonal skills: ability to build professional relationship with internal staff and external customers.

Job Summary: 

The Category Sales Specialist – Cleaning Solutions will assist Makita Canada grow its revenue and market share of products within your specialty. 

You will be Makita Canada’s “Product Specialist” in our Cleaning Solutions Category. As a Category Sales Specialist you will be responsible for expanding our dealer market for cleaning equipment; generating and increasing product demand for Makita Cleaning equipment with professional end users; and ensuring a high level of service to the dealers and end users.

As a member of the regional sales team, you will be supported by the Ontario sales and service teams as well as the Product Management and Marketing teams in Whitby.

Position is located in the lower main land of British Columbia.

Responsibilities:

  • Expand Makita Canada’s dealer network for cleaning equipment.
  • Generate and increase product demand for Makita Canada’s cleaning equipment with professional end users.
  • Make sales calls (independent and joint calls) to professional end users to demonstrate Makita Canada’s cleaning equipment and create sales.

Job Summary:  

As a Factory Service Centre Manager-in-Training, you are responsible for supporting the manager with the daily operations and managing the Factory Service Centre in the absence of the Manger. Your responsibilities include providing leadership and support of growth and development to FSC Technicians.  The FSC Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Service Centre.  The FSC Manager has oversight for the completion of all Service Technician tasks, duties, and responsibilities in a timely, accurate, complete, and thorough basis. Responsibilities:
