Job Summary: 

The Sales Representatives work together with the Makita Canada Inc. team to support the company’s business plan, mainly assisting the sales team to achieve their sales objectives. The sales representatives are responsible for a specific territory and special accounts within the same area, which includes visiting customers to establish and/or maintain business relationships.

The sales representatives will work with all departments throughout Makita Canada Inc. to assist in a smooth transition for the customer ensuring they are satisfied to the best of Makita’s ability.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with current customers and build relationships with new customers. 
  • Coordinate activities to add value to the customers within the territory to ensure they are receiving superior levels of service.
  • Assist with overall sales growth for Makita Canada:
    • Ensuring their sales targets are met or surpassed.
    • Assist with growth in specific and targeted products and categories 
    • Establishment and maintenance formalized programs.

Qualifications:

Job Summary:  

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Product Manager – Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) & Cleaning Solutions is responsible for planning, executing, and managing the product strategy and lifecycle of Makita’s range of OPE and Cleaning products and accessories. This includes prioritizing between current and new products, gathering and defining “voice of the customer” requirements for new product introductions, defining the product vision and strategy for end-user markets, and working cross-functionally with sales, marketing communications, operations, purchasing, and customer service to ensure company goals and objectives are achieved. The OPE & Cleaning Solutions Product Manager will also work on strategic projects and initiatives to support the marketing team’s core objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps to grow sales and profits for their assigned product category.
  • Manage the portfolio of products in their category over the product lifecycle, from go-to-market planning, through to launch, growth, maturity, and discontinuation.
  • Conduct market research and “voice of the customer” end-user interviews, gather competitive intelligence, identify market trends, opportunities, and positioning for current and future products, perform product testing and pricing analysis.

  • Assemble and test tools to ensure proper performance levels.
  • Notify customers, via phone and email, of repair estimate, completed repairs and orders ready for pick up.

  • Maintaining inventory of parts and accessories.

Your responsibilities include providing leadership and support of growth and development to FSC Technicians.  The FSC Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Service Centre.  The FSC Manager has oversight for the completion of all Service Technician tasks, duties, and responsibilities in a timely, accurate, complete, and thorough basis. As well, you will support the sale of accessories, and parts, and answer general product questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service to our clients/dealers and the public, including assisting with de-escalating difficult situations.
  • Ensure all Service Technicians are trained to repair our product/equipment, including electric (both AC & DC), pneumatic and gasoline-powered tools.
  • Oversee and assess FSC Staff activities and provide them with regular performance-related feedback.

You are responsible for assisting customers with repairs of our products/equipment, including electric (both AC & DC), pneumatic and gasoline-powered tools, supporting the sale of accessories, and parts, as well as answering general product questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service to our clients/dealers and the public.
  • Visually inspecting and testing products/equipment.
  • Dismantling products/equipment and repairing within Makita Canada Inc. standards.
  • Troubleshooting and identifying malfunctioning or inoperative equipment.
  • Assemble and test tools to ensure proper performance levels.
  • Notify customers, via phone and email, of repair estimate, completed repairs and orders ready for pick up.
  • Ensures the appropriate service levels are maintained in the Factory Service Centre’s.
  • Maintaining inventory of parts and accessories.
  • Ensuring the Factory Service Centre is professional, clean, and organized consistent with the Makita brand image at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of related experience repairing tools/equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Job Summary:  

Under the supervision of warehouse leadership (Manager, Supervisor, Lead) the primary function of the Material Handler II is to perform a range of warehouse duties including, but not limited to picking, packing, shipping, receiving and repack.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all types of order picking including cluster or mezzanine picking, list picking, and pallet picking.
  • Load and process LTL, TL and Small Parcel shipments.
  • Receives parts and checks against appropriate corresponding paperwork such as a purchase orders, packing list, etc.
